Wooo! You’ve spied your opportunity to get away for a few days with your soul sisters – go you! But now you’ve all committed to your next adventure comes the hard bit – the organisation. Avoid all the drama and conflict that comes as part of a trying to bring your group of girls together and follow our guide on how to make booking a girls’ trip as easy as 1,2,3
Yes, there is such a thing as too much choice when it comes to booking a girls trip, especially where destinations are concerned. Everyone’s going to have their own opinion on where your girls’ escape should be to based on their own previous experiences, but do you really want to be reliving someone else’s holiday and letting them drag you round places that they’ve already discovered? Wouldn’t you all rather be exploring somewhere new together and taking part in some fabulous bucket-list experiences that none of you has ever done before?
Our top tip here is to select two or three destinations and grab your girls to hold a vote and the most popular destination wins – while you’re at it you might as well come up with a few dates for your next big adventure too.
2. A break from the norm
In the spirit of all things shiny and new, you’ll need to decide on a few activities before booking a girls’ trip so there’s no face-pulling when you finally arrive at your chosen destination. In all-girls’ groups you’ll have a huge cross-section of personalities who expect different things from your escape, so you need to make sure that there’s something for everyone. For the party girl that’s ordering cocktails in giant glasses to the yoga queen who’s so uber healthy its sickening (but god does she have fab abs!), you’ll be surprised at how much variety our luxury destinations have to offer whatever your girls’ are in to.
But one thing we would recommend is trying something a bit different, something none of you have ever done before. How about a spot of paddle boarding (trust me, it’s hilarious when your friends fall in) followed up by a Turkish bath or clifftop cocktails?
3. Get someone else to do the hard work!
Ok, so now you’ve got your ideal destination, dates and an idea on the types of things you want to experience on your break you’ll want to start making reservations, right?
WRONG!…..If your anything like us you’ll have work, the kids and a mountain of other ‘lady-admin’ to contend with, so why on earth would you want to add booking a girls’ trip to your never-ending to-do list?
Get someone else to do the hard work for you, someone who knows the destination, ways to get you the best deals and how to go about booking your activities list and arranging flights and luxury transfers without you having a lift a manicured finger.
Plus if you want to avoid the tension of chasing someone up who’s been a bit too ‘relaxed’ about stumping up the cash, our destination expert will do the money chase for you as well as taking the details of all your girls for flights and accommodation – leaving you to focus on the important stuff like clothes shopping for your escape!
